The Department of Facilities and Fleet Management Property Management Division is seeking a talented, highly qualified, and energetic individual to serve as a project manager for large facility improvement projects and special design/construction initiatives within Prince William County.

About This Role:
As a Property Management Construction Project Manager, you will facilitate the concept, budgeting, design, and construction of various projects, including maintenance projects, existing building site improvements, ADA projects, fall protection systems, milling and paving projects, electric vehicle charging station installations, and building alterations and renovations.

Key responsibilities include cost planning, scheduling, and control; monitoring internal standards; interpreting and facilitating client/user agency needs related to design; managing all aspects of the process through design and into construction; and interacting with consultants, code officials, end users, and other internal and external government agencies.

Minimum Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in engineering and 2 years of related experience.
Preferences:
Preferred qualifications include a Master's degree in engineering, Architecture, or a related field; Project Management Professional (PMP) or Certified Construction Manager (CCM) certification; experience in local government construction projects; proficiency in AutoCAD software; and knowledge of VDOT work and requirements.
Special Requirements:
Candidates must have a valid driver's license and the ability to pass a background check if needed for specific projects. A physical examination may be required.
Work Schedule:
The typical work schedule for this position is 37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday, from 8:30 AM to 5 PM. However, flexibility is required as working some weekends and holidays is necessary. While the core hours are structured, the nature of the role demands adaptability to meet the needs of ongoing projects and unexpected situations. Occasional telework may be available as approved by the Assistant Director of Property Management, but the position primarily requires on-site presence to effectively manage and oversee construction projects.
Starting Salary Range:
$88,974.60 - $97,000 yr
