Responsibilities:
  • Cloud Infrastructure Management: Design, implement, and manage cloud infrastructure on AWS and Azure.
  • Infrastructure as Code (IaC): Develop and maintain infrastructure using Terraform.
  • Scripting and Automation: Write and maintain scripts in Bash and/or Python to automate routine tasks and improve operational efficiency.
  • Linux Administration: Manage and troubleshoot Linux-based systems, ensuring high availability and performance.
  • Kubernetes Orchestration: Deploy, manage, and scale applications using Kubernetes.
  • System Design: Reason about and design scalable, reliable, and efficient systems. Provide recommendations and lead design discussions.
  • Project Delivery: Take ownership of projects from conception to delivery, ensuring they meet business requirements and are delivered on time, even under ambiguous conditions.
  • Communication: Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including developers, QA, and business stakeholders, to ensure seamless project execution.
  • Clearly communicate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.

  • Continuous Learning: Stay updated with the latest industry trends and technologies.

Experience and Skill Set Requirements:
Technical Skills:
  • IaC: Hands on experience with Terraform for infrastructure provisioning and management or related IaC options (CF Templates, CDKs, etc).
  • Scripting: Strong scripting skills in Bash and/or Python, as well as experience writing Kustomize, Helm, and Ansible playbooks.
  • CI/CD: Hands on experience writing pipelines in one of the leading CI systems be it Gitlab, Github Actions, Jenkins, etc. as well as local docker.
  • Linux: Deep understanding of Linux systems, including troubleshooting and performance tuning.
  • Kubernetes: Hands-on experience with Kubernetes for container orchestration (Open Shift, EKS, AKS).
  • Observability and Monitoring: Must have experience working with logging and observability tools such as AWS Cloud Watch, X-Ray, Kinesis, LokiStack, Elastic Search, AppInsights, Grafana/Prometheus, SIEMs.
  • Knowledge of common authentication technologies, security controls, and standard application security tools.
  • Experience in securing environments using offensive and defensive approaches.
  • Must have demonstrable experience in designing and reasoning about complex systems, with a proven track record of developing and implementing architectural solutions.
Project Delivery:
  • Demonstrated experience in delivering projects from start to finish, meeting business requirements and deadlines.
Communication:
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

  • Comfortable participating in design sprints and bringing candidate product and technical ideas to the wider team.
