Job Title: Occupational Therapist

Must-Have: Knowledge of principles and practices of professional occupational therapy
Description:
Under general supervision, perform professional Occupational Therapy activities.
Plan, evaluate, establish, and implement individual and group treatment activities under the direction of a physician.
Interpret a physician's referral and select an appropriate standardized evaluation procedure.
Evaluate patient in areas such as independent living skills, occupational performance, and educational skills.
Develop a treatment plan with short and long-term goals and determine the frequency and duration of treatment.
Assist patients by designing and fabricating adaptive equipment and orthotic devices.
Inform patients and families about goals and progress.
Assist with discharge planning by ordering equipment and instructing patients on home therapy plans.
May supervise students.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Skills needed include organizing and instructing occupational therapy activities and interpreting prescriptions related to therapy.
Good interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate instructions and technical information to patients are required.
Some computer skills are necessary.
A Bachelor's Degree in Occupational Therapy is required.
