DISTINGUISHING FEATURES OF JOB POSITION

Work involves all aspects of RF Power Amplifier development, testing, manufacturing, systematic problem solving new and existing designs.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Develops, problem solves, debugs for new and existing RF Power Amplifier designs.
Collaborates with Engineering and Manufacturing teams to ensure robust designs.
Designs circuit and PCB layouts using RF/Microwave design CAD tools. Crescend tools used are: AWR Microwave Office, ADS and LT Spice.
Performs design/product evaluations.
Collects and analyzes data.
Prepares documentation for communication with engineering and manufacturing teams.
Maintains and updates all controlled documentation.
Performs other related duties as assigned.

SUPERVISORY/MENTORSHIP RESPONSIBILITIES May mentor others (i.e., associate engineers, technicians, interns) as needed.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS & WORKING CONDITIONS WHILE PERFORMING OF ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Typically engages in the following movements: Stooping, kneeling, crouching, reaching, standing, walking, lifting, fingering, grasping, feeling and writing and repetitive motions. Exerts up to 20 pounds of force regularly, and/or a negligible amount of force constantly to move objects. Will use close and color vision. Depth perception needed. Travel (weather conditions may vary), 0-25% of time, to customer sites, within Unites States and abroad, for commissioning of the microwave generators within their application

Requirements

QUALIFICATIONS

Proficient with troubleshooting, problem solving, development and integration skills.
Establish and maintain effective working relationships. Proficient in team environment.
Proficient with operation of RF test equipment (network analyzer, power meter, spectrum analyzer, signal generator, and RF components).
Proficient with Microsoft applications including Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Word. Experience with Enterprise Resource Planning systems.

PREFERABLE COMPETENCIES
Experience in automation software such as LabVIEW.
Experience in schematic capture, layout design in eCAD software such as Altium.
Experience in schematic and layout design in software like Altium and PADs.

EDUCATION AND/OR WORK EXPERIENCE

Completion of a bachelor's degree in electrical engineering or related discipline; and 3-5 years' experience in RF power design engineering; or an equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the essential duties of the job such as those listed above.
