Key Responsibilities:
- Supply Chain Strategy: Develop and implement supply chain strategies that align with the company's business objectives, focusing on cost reduction, efficiency improvement, and customer satisfaction.
- Procurement Management: Oversee the procurement of raw materials, packaging, and other necessary supplies, ensuring that quality standards, delivery timelines, and cost targets are met.
- Inventory Control: Work collaboratively to ensure optimal stock levels are maintained while minimizing excess inventory and reducing carrying costs.
- Production Planning: Collaborate with production teams to develop and execute production plans that meet customer demand while optimizing resource utilization and minimizing waste.
- Logistics and Distribution: Manage logistics and distribution activities, including transportation, warehousing, and delivery, to ensure timely and cost-effective distribution of products to customers.
- Supplier Relationships: Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers, negotiating contracts, and managing supplier performance to ensure reliability and quality.
- Risk Management: Identify potential risks within the supply chain and develop contingency plans to mitigate those risks, ensuring business continuity.
- Data Analysis and Reporting: Analyze supply chain data to identify trends, inefficiencies, and opportunities for improvement. Prepare and present regular reports to senior management.
- Team Leadership: Lead and develop a high-performing supply chain team, providing coaching, mentoring, and support to ensure professional growth and achievement of departmental goals.
- Continuous Improvement: Drive continuous improvement initiatives across the supply chain to enhance efficiency, reduce costs, and improve overall performance.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field. A Master's degree is a plus.
- Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in supply chain management within the CPG industry.
- Strong knowledge of supply chain processes, including procurement, production planning, inventory management, logistics, and distribution.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to make data-driven decisions.
- Proven experience in managing supplier relationships and negotiating contracts.
- Strong leadership and team management skills, with a track record of developing and mentoring staff.
- Proficient in supply chain management software and tools - Sage X3 is preferred (e.g., SAP, Oracle, or similar ERP systems).
- Proficient in Excel.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
- Strong organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Professional certifications such as APICS Certified Supply Chain Professional (CSCP), Certified in Production and Inventory Management (CPIM), or similar.
- Experience with Lean, Six Sigma, or other continuous improvement methodologies.
