Job Title: Registered Nurse I

Guaranteed Hours: Not guaranteed
Experience: Minimum 1 full year Adult Home Health experience or 1 full year Hospice experience
License: Must have license in hand
Certifications: CPR, BLS
Must-Have: Proficiency in HomeCare HomeBase EMR and recent OASIS experience
Job Description:
- Provide, coordinate, and direct home nursing care according to physicians' orders based on agency policies and procedures using the nursing process.
- Supervise and evaluate Home Health Aides and Licensed Practical Nurses/Licensed Vocational Nurses.
- Travel to patients' homes for care, with periodic office meetings. Must have reliable transportation, a current driver's license, and required liability insurance.
- Handle an average of 5-8 patients per day, with activities assigned a point value to reach weekly productivity of 30 points.
- Types of cases include Start of Care, Wound Care, and Follow-up Visits.
- Complete all documentation within 24 hours of patient appointments; delayed or incomplete documentation can impact billing and follow-up care.
- May need to float to a nearby clinic to pick up additional patients if needed to meet financial needs.
- Must be open to driving up to 75 miles from the home clinic to visit patients.
- Familiarity with the Maine area, covering the region from York to Kennebunk.
- Required to attend weekly meetings at the office location and accept every patient on their schedule, regardless of distance.
