Job Title: Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) or Marriage and Family Therapist (MFT)
Job Specialty: Social Services
Job Duration: 13 weeks
Shift: Day 5x8-Hour (08:00 - 16:30)
Guaranteed Hours: N/A
Experience: Minimum of 2 years in specialty required
License: Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) or Marriage and Family Therapist (MFT) or Clinical Psychologist (PhD) licensure in state of practice required
Certifications:
- Basic Life Support (BLS or equivalent) certification required
- Techniques for Effective Aggression Management (TEAM) or Crisis Prevention Intervention (CPI) required
Must-Have:
- Experience with Cerner software
- Postgraduate experience in acute inpatient or outpatient mental health services with specific experience in group process and individual counseling preferred
Job Description:
- Provide family and individual mental health counseling and therapy
- Deliver treatment for mental disorders and psychological conflicts
- Assist families in resolving emotional, mental, and psychological conflicts
- Meet with entire families and/or individually with family members to enhance their functioning
- Counsel families and individuals on psychological or emotional issues such as stress, substance abuse, or family situations
- Develop and implement therapeutic treatment plans
- Obtain social history and treatment information through interviews with family members
- Educate patients and families about mental illness, treatment plans, and resources
- Facilitate regular multidisciplinary review meetings to plan care and assess therapeutic interventions
- Discuss progress toward goals, medication regimens, family relationships, and educational programs
- Complete and maintain individual and group counseling notes and documentation
- Perform other job-related duties as assigned
