Position OverviewSeeking a dynamic Vice President of Finance with extensive experience in the aerospace and defense startup ecosystem. This individual will be responsible for leading financial strategy, securing funding, ensuring regulatory compliance, and managing financial operations across both U.S. and international markets.
The ideal candidate has successfully navigated Series A, B, and C funding rounds and possesses deep expertise in financial operations for both U.S.-based and overseas entities.
This is a hybrid/travel position with a preference for candidates based in Southern California, Dallas-Fort Worth, TX, or Greater Washington, DC.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop and execute Heven's financial strategy to support corporate growth, scalability, and profitability.
Lead fundraising efforts, including Series A, B, and C rounds, collaborating with investors and financial institutions.
Establish and maintain robust financial planning, forecasting, and risk management processes.
Oversee financial reporting, tax compliance, and auditing in both U.S. and international jurisdictions.
Manage cash flow, budgeting, and capital allocation to align with company objectives.
Ensure compliance with U.S. government contracts, aerospace and defense regulations, and international financial policies.
Collaborate with executive leadership to drive business strategy and operational efficiency.
Serve as a key liaison between Heven's U.S. operations and overseas headquarters, ensuring seamless financial integration.
Required Qualifications:
Financial leadership experience, especially within an aerospace and defense startup.
Proven track record of securing and managing Series A, B, and C funding rounds.
Strong knowledge of U.S. financial regulations, government contracting (FAR/DFARS), and international finance.
Experience working with overseas-based companies, managing cross-border financial operations and compliance.
Deep understanding of cost accounting, financial modeling, and riskmanagement within the aerospace and defense sector.
Ability to develop and execute strategic financial plans in a fast-paced startup environment.
Strong leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
