Key Responsibilities
- Design and analyze structural steel systems for traffic, bridge, and infrastructure projects.
- Conduct load calculations and ensure compliance with building codes and safety regulations.
- Prepare and review construction documentation, including drawings and specifications.
- Utilize software tools such as AutoCAD, Tekla, and Bluebeam for design and project management.
- Perform finite element analysis to assess structural integrity and performance.
- Collaborate with architects, contractors, and other engineers to ensure project goals are met.
- Manage project timelines, budgets, and resources effectively.
- Stay updated on environmental regulations and incorporate sustainable practices in designs.
- Conduct site visits to inspect construction progress and ensure adherence to design specifications.
- Provide technical guidance and support to junior engineers and project teams.
Required Qualifications
- 5+ years structural engineering experience
- Tekla, Bluebeam, BidWizard, Etakeoff, or similar experience
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a related field.
- EIT or Professional Engineering (PE) license is strongly preferred
- DOT and/or bridge experience a plus
