This fast-growing steel fabricator startup with $5M+ in annual revenue is hiring its first ever structural engineer.

As the founding member of the engineering team, you'll initially be responsible for helping with designing and analyzing structural steel packages. For the right person, there is significant career growth potential and a competitive compensation package:

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and analyze structural steel systems for traffic, bridge, and infrastructure projects.
  • Conduct load calculations and ensure compliance with building codes and safety regulations.
  • Prepare and review construction documentation, including drawings and specifications.
  • Utilize software tools such as AutoCAD, Tekla, and Bluebeam for design and project management.
  • Perform finite element analysis to assess structural integrity and performance.
  • Collaborate with architects, contractors, and other engineers to ensure project goals are met.
  • Manage project timelines, budgets, and resources effectively.
  • Stay updated on environmental regulations and incorporate sustainable practices in designs.
  • Conduct site visits to inspect construction progress and ensure adherence to design specifications.
  • Provide technical guidance and support to junior engineers and project teams.

Required Qualifications
  • 5+ years structural engineering experience
  • Tekla, Bluebeam, BidWizard, Etakeoff, or similar experience

Preferred Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a related field.
  • EIT or Professional Engineering (PE) license is strongly preferred
  • DOT and/or bridge experience a plus
