Direct Counsel is seeking a Land Use Associate to join a prestigious Am Law 100 firm in Los Angeles. The ideal candidate will be a third- or fourth-year associate with specific experience in land use and CEQA compliance. Key Responsibilities
- Advise clients on land use regulations, zoning, and environmental compliance.
- Provide counsel on California Environmental Quality Act (CEQA) compliance.
- Work on permitting, entitlements, and administrative approvals for real estate development projects.
- Assist in litigation and administrative proceedings related to land use matters.
- Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school (Class of 2021 or 2022).
- Strong land use and CEQA compliance experience.
- Prior big law firm experience preferred.
- Excellent legal research, drafting, and communication skills.
- Salary range: $260,000 - $310,000 (for JD classes 2021-2022). Actual salary may vary based on experience and qualifications.
