Summary
The Staff Accountant will contribute to various aspects of Accounting, including the closing process and journal entry processing, accounts receivable, forecasting, analysis, account reconciliations, and various reporting and filing.
Essential Functions
Responsible for monthly closing processes including the processing of journal entries and closing AR
Reconcile, review and analyze general ledger accounts and research any discrepancies
Adhere to all SOX (Sarbanes Oxley) requirements.
Tracking, analysis and reporting of customer's account status
Analyzing and proposing customer credit limits
Responsible for all aspects of accounts receivable from invoicing to customer account reconciliations
Monthly COS (cost of sales) reconciliation including MPT (material passthrough)
Forecasting AR and treasury cash receipts
Claims processing & reporting
All aspects of cash management including daily cash reconciliation & posting cash receipts
Process banking transactions (wires and ACHs)
Payroll entry posting, labor & benefits distribution & reconciliation to ADP
Any other special projects as needed

Responsibilities must be completed timely and at a high level of accuracy
Qualifications
Experience and knowledge of standard costing & Sarbanes Oxley principles preferred
Good working knowledge of all MS Office applications and internet application
Ability to work under minimal supervision and use own initiative
Reliable team member and strong interpersonal skills
Self-motivated and achievement oriented
Excellent time management skills and ability to prioritize work effectively
Ability to work under pressure and deadlines
Able to work outside of normal office hours as business requires
Ability to travel within US

Education and Experience
Bachelor degree in Accounting, Finance, or business related field required. Three to five years of relevant experience Familiar with standard concepts, practices, and procedures within the Financial Accounting field.

For informational purposes only, this role is eligible to participate in the Company's Quarterly Cash Bonus Plan, paid out at the quarterly bonus factor of 1.5X the Company's bonus multiple, based on the Company's performance in the applicable quarter . Employees will receive 120 hours paid time off every year. Employees will also receive 10 paid holidays.
