Job Summary

The Supply Chain Manager is responsible for setting direction, policy and procedures based upon corporate level strategy, while ensuring procurement, shipping/receiving, and inventory support shows value and contributes to the overall success of the company.

This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite in Cape Canaveral, Florida.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Implements new supply chain management related programs and processes.
  • Identifies opportunities for outsourcing, cost reduction, and Supply Chain process improvements.
  • Engages and collaborates with other functions/vendors to support Supply Chain strategy.
  • Provide leadership and direction to Procurement staff
  • Acquires resources for projects and processes, provides technical management of suppliers and leads process improvements.
  • Develops and maintains relationships and partnerships with customers, stakeholders, peers, partners and direct reports.
  • Place subcontracts/purchase orders of moderate complexity in accordance with all regulatory (FAR/DFAR) and corporate compliance requirements
  • Review drawings, specifications and purchase history to determine sourcing strategy for production hardware and build to print parts
  • Prepare, issue, and analyze RFQs/RFPs
  • Perform cost/price analysis techniques in support of proposals and purchase orders
  • Develop negotiation strategies and lead formal negotiations (Price, Delivery, Terms & Conditions)
  • Nurture professional business relationships with first tier subcontractors
  • Adhere to all Quality Management Systems standards and procedures
  • Treat all team members with respect and dignity ensuring a collaborative culture is continually developed and maintained.

Required Education and Experience
  • 7+ years' experience in procurement, supply chain, or other relevant industry experience
  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Procurement, or another relevant field preferred. Experience in lieu of education may be considered.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft 365 including Excel, Word, Outlook and Teams.

  • At least 5 years' experience in a manufacturing environment.

Physical Requirements
  • Sedentary Work - occasionally exerting up to 10 pounds of force to carry, lift, push, pull, or otherwise move objects. Sedentary work involves being stationary most of the time, sometimes requiring moving about the work center on concrete surfaces.
  • Computer Work - daily use of laptop, computer monitor screen, keyboard, and mouse, sometimes utilizing a headset with microphone & speakers.


Travel Requirement
  • Ability to travel < 10%


Shift/Schedule
  • Onsite work Monday through Friday; core working hours are 8:30am - 4:30pm
