Your position
As an Integration Engineer, your part of the integration team and involved in integrating the various components and (sub)systems into a solution. This is especially challenging for large and complex systems consisting of individual carrier systems, automatic storage and retrieval systems, automated guided vehicles, robots, conveyors, control software and IT infrastructure. You test the system to ensure that it works according to the design. Often, testing involves attempts to intentionally break the system to identify any problem areas, based on an analysis of technical risks. Test- and integration engineers contribute to the success of projects through their superior knowledge of the system as a whole, its operational objectives, how its parts work together, and the technical factors that go into its development.

Key tasks and responsibilities:
- Create test case designs based on test plan and design documentation.
- Program stubs/drivers (test harness).
- Create test scripts (for automatic tests).
- Prepare test environment (setup IT infra, deploy software and tooling, configure system).
- Operate system (using GUI and scripts/commands) and test environments (e.g. emulation models).
- Align with stakeholders on test execution and defect solution (internally with product teams and development, externally with user representatives).
- Execute tests (both in factory and on site) and log results.
- Verification of solutions to defects.
- Create test reports.
- Create issue reports (in change management tooling).
- Manage and coordinate groups of people for test preparation and execution.
- Perform zone level testing supporting PLC / SCADA commissioning
- Perform area level testing supporting PLC / SCADA commissioning
- Document integrated system level testing for PLC and SCADA commissioning (Low Volume / High Volume test)
Required qualification:
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Computer, or Software Engineering or Equivalent or 1 year of experience in implementation of material handling systems or industrial controls systems or 1 years of experience in PLC applications (Allen-Bradley Preferred, Siemens is also valuable).
- Must be willing and able to travel 75% routinely, with increased amounts if projects demand.
- This position may require occasional on-call after-hours support.
- Good communication skills in English.

Desired qualifications:
- Solid understanding of Electrical controls hardware design and 480 VAC / 120VAC / 24VDC power distribution.
- Solid understanding of networking principles and computer hardware selection and setup.
- Capable of programming in SQL, Visual Basic, C, C++, C#, or equivalent
- Logical mentality, skilled in understanding and designing Engineering Science: Logic & Programming
- Solid understanding of PLC programming in industrial controls (Allen-Bradley Preferred, Siemens is also valuable).
Physical requirements:
- Ability to climb a 2-story ladder and walk a mile in 20 minutes.
- Capable of lifting, up to, 30 lbs. and working 10 hours standing, sitting, walking, or climbing stairs.
- Comfortable working in both office and factory/construction environments.
