1111 - Mechanical Engineer

Job Description:

Monte Sano Research Corporation (MSRC) is a Huntsville-based Small Business specializing in providing full-spectrum defense system engineering, research, design, development, integration, test, evaluation, and planning services to the U.S. Government.

MSRC is seeking a full-time Mechanical Engineer to join a team of engineers and technicians performing research and development for missile systems.

• Utilize 3D scanner technology to perform the following duties: perform reverse engineering of existing weapon systems and development of mechanical drawings required for integration and testing activities; provide metrology support to missile programs including quality and performance analysis; and provide rapid prototyping development for various Army programs and customers.
• Provide quality engineering and test engineering support to Army propulsion programs.
• Provide production support including quality inspection, analysis, and documentation; development and interpretation of technical documentation including schematics, block diagrams, drawings, and interface control documents; and development of test/calibration plans, procedures, and reports.
• Work independently and as part of a team of engineers.

Education:

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related engineering field.

Job Qualifications:

• 5+ years of experience with 3D scanners.
• 10+ years of experience performing 3D scanning, reverse engineering, and rapid prototyping.
• 10 years of experience performing mechanical design, integration, test, and quality engineering for weapon systems.

Additional Requirements:

• Candidate must be a U.S. Citizen.
• Candidate must currently possess and be able to maintain an active security clearance.
