In this highly impactful role, you will be responsible for overseeing the planning and execution of internal and partnered programs in research and early development phases, while remaining aligned with company goals, strategy and commitments. You will play a pivotal role, providing operational leadership to cross-functional teams, managing external partnerships, and driving programs toward achievement of key milestones.

You will play a pivotal role, providing operational leadership to cross-functional teams, managing external partnerships, and driving programs toward achievement of key milestones.
Roles and responsibilities:
- Lead internal cross functional teams in partnership with program team leads (PTLs), engaging stakeholders from research, development sciences, translational sciences, regulatory, CMC, clinical operations, and clinical development to formulate optimal drug development strategies and plans
- Lead alliance management, driving joint strategic and operational plans and development and implementation of effective alliance operations. Facilitate joint governance meetings as needed, track progress against milestones, and manage communication channels
- Foster leadership, strategic thinking, and business acumen while setting high standards that drive alignment, collaboration, accountability and goal achievement within joint and partnered program teams
- Cultivate collaborative and high-performing team environment
- Mobilize decision-making at all levels to accomplish shared program goals
- Provide fit-for-purpose program management solutions in support of internal and partnered programs; develop and maintain integrated cross-functional project plans including timelines, reporting, risk assessment and mitigations, and lessons-learned, while driving efficiency and alignment through PM best practices and tools
- Partner with finance to establish, allocate, and monitor program-related budgets and resourcing plans
- Reporting and presentation to the executive team, functional heads, and other key stakeholders
Education and Skills Requirements:
- BS degree in applicable discipline
- 8+ years Biotech/Pharmaceutical industry Program Leadership/Management experience, with at least 2 years' experience in Program and Alliance Management.
- Demonstrated success leading multiple programs and meeting program goals, including development of complex drug development program strategy
- Demonstrated experience leading and motivating cross-functional teams with a sense of urgency through strong relationship-building and influencing skills
- Thorough understanding of drug development, especially from discovery through early clinical development
- Track record of delivering in a fast-paced, innovative, dynamic environment while remaining flexible, proactive, resourceful and efficient
- Outstanding influencing skills up, down and across the organization including executive/senior management
- Excellent verbal and written communication and facilitation skills
- Reputation for innovative problem-solving with integrated view of business and scientific issues
- Proficiency with project management tools including Smartsheets
