Job Description
The Division of Hospitalist and General Internal Medicine at the University of Maryland School of Medicine seeks a fulltime General Internal Medicine physician to serve at the University of Maryland Midtown Health Center, an ambulatory academic practice at the University of Maryland Medical Center-Midtown Campus (UMMC- MTC). Clinical responsibilities will include managing a panel of patients in primary care as well as participating in call coverage with other members of the team. The successful candidate will practice with a multi-disciplinary approach alongside other service providers to optimize patient experiences and outcomes.
This position will also provide educational supervision and oversight to medical students and residents, as the site serves as the ambulatory continuity practice for the UMMC-MTC Internal Medicine residency program. Finally, this position will engage in community outreach and patient education as well as participate in service projects to increase visibility and benefit to the community.
Expected faculty rank for this position will be Assistant Professor or higher, however, final rank, tenure status and salary will be commensurate with selected candidate's qualifications and experience.
The expected salary range for Assistant Professors is $171,493 (min) and $267,554 (max). The referenced salary range reflects base pay, which is based on faculty rank and years in rank. This salary range does not include all components of the departmental faculty compensation program or pay from participation in departmental variable compensation programs. Therefore, the actual compensation paid to the selected candidate may vary from the salary range stated herein. For more information, please contact the hiring department.
The referenced salary range represents the minimum and maximum salaries for this position and is based on the University of Maryland School of Medicine's good faith belief at the time of posting. Not all candidates will be eligible for the upper end of the salary range. The actual compensation offered to the selected candidate may vary and will ultimately depend on multiple factors, which may include the successful candidate's geographic location, skills, work experience, internal equity, market conditions, education/training and other factors, as reasonably determined by the University.

Qualifications
Candidates must be board certified/eligible in internal medicine and eligible for an unrestricted license to practice medicine in the State of Maryland. This position requires a medical degree from a recognized accredited domestic university (or foreign equivalent), a strong commitment to patient care and teaching, and the ability to work well in a team setting.
