Position Summary
Position Summary
The Carlyle Group seeks hire a Client Relationship Manager (CRM) to focus on the distribution of Carlyle's offerings to institutional investors throughout Canada. The position will have daily external client-building and relationship management responsibilities which include working with a range of institutional investors. The ongoing internal/external client-relationship management responsibilities include, but are not limited to, marketing Carlyle's Global Private Equity, Real Assets, Global Credit and Investment Solutions funds, facilitating regular client interactions, portfolio updates and ad hoc client projects. Additionally, the CRM will also design marketing plans, customized investor presentations, account proposals, and other investor deliverables as necessary. This position will also require evaluating new business opportunities including financial analysis, competitive benchmarking, and qualitative considerations.
The successful candidate will be self-directed and able to prioritize multiple workstreams in a fast-paced environment. Candidates should have existing relationships with the investor community and have previous experience with Private Equity, Real Assets, and/or Credit strategies.

Work in partnership with senior Investor Relations professional in Canada to synergize client service efforts in the region.
Collaborate with colleagues across Investor Relations, Fund Management, Legal & Compliance as well as the investment teams to ensure full coordination and implement best practices and lessons learned from prior initiatives.
Focus on establishing relationships with new investors and deliver the firm to them.

Education & Certificates
Successful passing of the Canadian Securities Course Exam or Exempt Market Products Exam, or equivalent experience (i.e. CFA Charter-holder) required.
Bachelor's degree is required.
Professional Experience
Existing knowledge of and relationships with relevant investor community.
Strong proficiency in CRM software, DealCloud is preferred.
Advanced Microsoft Office (including Excel and PowerPoint) skills required.
Demonstrated ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
Competencies & Attributes
Willingness to travel frequently.
Ability to successfully navigate in an environment where projects and tasks do not have a clear path to completion and innovation is required to accommodate all stakeholders' preferences.
High level of comfort with decision-making.
Work well in a deadline-driven, results-oriented environment.

- Building, cultivating and strengthening relationships with institutional investors throughout Canada and securing capital commitments to Carlyle strategies.
- Developing and executing Business Plans to engage existing and new relationships in the region.
- Proactively seek and support the development of new initiatives with target firms to enhance Carlyle's success and market presence.
- Conduct one-on-one meetings, group presentations and client meetings/events.
- Remain abreast of industry/market trends and developments while maintaining sound working knowledge of Carlyle's products and services.
- Capture all activity and sales-related data in CRM system (DealCloud).
- Effectively manage firm resources, which involve travel expenses, and entertainment budget.
