Senior Manufacturing Test Engineer - PCB and ECU Specialist

The Role:

At Lucid Motors, the Senior Manufacturing Test Engineer is responsible for the Development and Deployment of our test systems to our CMs and ODM's. You will work closely with our SW & HW Engineering teams to define and document Test Requirements. Then design and build custom test set ups, including fixtures for PCBAs (Printed Circuit Board Assemblies) and ECUs (Electronic Control Units). You will be responsible for performing functional analysis of ECUs to resolve manufacturing integration and software issues. Create, execute and maintain the Manufacturing Test for our products, while providing Test support during NPI and production builds on multiple systems, currently as well as legacy test stations on different programs.

Responsibilities:
  • Hands-on testing and troubleshooting of electrical systems from component to system level. Eagerness to Automate common processes on their daily work life.
  • Enjoy setup of the factory test lines, networking requirements, data collection and reporting across multiple sites worldwide.
  • Experience working with multiple organizations across different cultures and regions.
  • Continuous Improvement mindset, analyze work processes, identify optimization opportunities and lead implementation of process improvements.
  • Able to work with SW & HW Eng. teams to find solutions quickly and efficiently.
  • Clear & Effective Communications to management on a regularly bases on status, issues with solutions, improvement plans, program status and process recommendations.
  • Up to 20% travel may be required.

Minimum Qualifications:
  • NI LabView and TestStand development expertise for High Volume Manufacturing Test.
  • Proficiency in at least one mainstream programming language: C#, Python, Java, C++
  • 5+ years of hands on Manufacturing / Test development experience.
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, STEM or related technical field is required.
  • Electronics manufacturing experience.
  • Experience with analysis, design, testing, and documentation of complex systems.
  • Able to read and understand schematics, test point requirements and perform DFT.
  • Experience in a Worldwide Operations team with CM/ODM's in Asia or Mexico. Onsite bring up of test systems.
  • Excellent communication skills (written and oral).

Preferred Qualifications:
  • 7+ years of Manufacturing / Test Development experience.
  • Master's degree or higher education in Engineering or related technical field is preferred.
  • Experience using Quality Management tools & processes (PFMEA, PPAP, APQP, QRQC).
  • Automotive manufacturing experience (IATF 16949 or VDA 6.3 knowledge).


Salary Range: The compensation range for this position is specific to the locations listed below and is the range Lucid reasonably and in good faith expects to pay for the position taking into account the wide variety of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions, including job-related knowledge; skillset; experience, education and training; certifications; and other relevant business and organizational factors.

The successful candidate may also be eligible to participate in Lucid's equity program and/or a discretionary annual incentive program, subject to the rules governing such programs. (Cash or equity incentive awards, if any, will depend on various factors, including, without limitation, individual and company performance.)

Base Pay Range (Annual)

$154,000-$211,750 USD
