Annual CORE (Center Of Recreational Excellence) Corporate Membership is for full-time employees and their eligible family members.

Description
This position reports to the Director of Nursing. Duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:
- Coordinate, prepare, and execute simulation scenarios for nursing classes; operate various nursing simulation equipment.
- Evaluate student simulation activities.
- Coordinate, oversee the preparation of, and manage the execution of nursing skills labs;
- Maintain inventory of laboratory equipment and supplies; request purchases as needed.
- Maintain and calibrate equipment, manikins, and other resources for nursing skills labs and clinical simulation activities.
- Develop and participate in the development of clinical scenarios to meet student needs.
- Provide orientation to students and instructors using lab and simulation equipment.
- Develop and implement tools to measure student learning outcomes.
- Maintain documentation of simulation activities; review and analyze data to improve student outcomes;
- Participate in Curriculum Planning Meetings and Faculty Meetings.
- Provide teaching and evaluation in the classroom, clinical, and skills lab settings.
- May serve on various campus committees as assigned.
- Performs other duties as assigned or required.
- Nothing contained herein shall limit the President in assigning the employee to any of the various college activities for which he/she would be qualified in order to meet the needs of New Mexico Junior College.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in nursing (BSN) with the understanding that the candidate be successfully enrolled in a nursing Master's degree program (MSN) within one year from the date of hire and complete that degree within five years.
- Earned graduate degree in nursing (MSN) is preferred.
- All degrees must be from a regionally accredited institution. Candidates must have at least two years of clinical experience and obtain or have a current New Mexico or multi-state nursing license in good standing.
- Prior successful experience in coordination of a nursing simulation lab at the college level preferred.
- Certified Health Care Simulation Certification (CHCSE) credential is preferred, or the applicant must be willing to prepare for and obtain this certification within one year of hire.
- Must willing to attend out-of-town simulation related training(s). Must be willing to attend in and out of clinical experiences with students as assigned.
- Candidates should be able to work within a team-teaching concept.
- Computer proficiency is required, and skills in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and Canvas proficiency are desirable.
