COMPENSATION: Salary: $99,000-120,000 Per Year

Serving the Forest Lake and surrounding areas since 1999, North Lakes Academy provides a personalized learning environment designed to meet a wide variety of academic needs. With strong core subjects and a full complement of liberal arts courses, NLA provides quality learning in a responsive learning atmosphere. Currently, we operate an elementary campus (grades K-6) and a secondary campus (grades 7-12) both in Forest Lake, serving a total of 460 students; 244 attend the 7-12 campus. JOB Responsibilities:
Experienced Principal wanted to lead our secondary school, grades 7-12, to continue developing its instructional practices, curriculum, assessments, and professional development. The position reports to the Executive Director. The primary duties are managing the daily operations of a high school, supervising staff, ensuring student success, and leading the school's improvement effort. The Principal is expected to be visible and engaged at a variety of afternoon and evening events, build strong relationships with families, staff, and students. The Principal is expected to play a strong role in recruitment and retention of staff and students. The Principal is expected to champion our Huskies United efforts which include meaningful collaboration between NLA's two buildings, both instructionally and collegially.

The 7-12 Campus of North Lakes Academy has around 250 students, with a growing enrollment, especially in 7th and 8th grades. NLA's 7-12 Campus is known for having a strong culture of belonging. NLA students, staff, and families are full of Husky Pride.

Your team would include direct help from teacher leader/s, a full time office manager, additional district level administrative staff with offices in the building, and the administrative staff at the K6 as collaborative partners.

- 2 years as a secondary Principal
- 5 or more years as a teacher in one or more secondary grades
- Charter school experience
- Special education experience (teacher, para, or parent)
