As the Sr. Quality Assurance Manager, you will be instrumental in upholding the highest standards of food safety and quality. Reporting to the Director of Research & Development, you will lead quality assurance initiatives, ensuring strict compliance with regulatory requirements and company policies. Additionally, you will manage the food safety and quality team, oversee lab operations, and drive continuous improvement to enhance our quality systems.

Position Responsibilities:
Manage and coach the food safety and quality assurance team, providing leadership, training, and ongoing support and development
Communicate resource needs to senior leadership, participate in strategic planning, and provide project timeline updates to ensure alignment and progress
Implement and maintain raw material and finished product testing programs, adhering to cGMP standards as required by the FDA
Oversee all Food Safety and Quality Programs by developing, standardizing, and maintaining HACCP, SOPs, and SSOPs, verifying compliance through regular audits and continuous improvement
Identify gaps in existing quality programs and certifications, conducting research to develop and implement new initiatives as needed
Position Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Food Science, Microbiology, Chemistry, or related field preferred
5+ years of leadership/management experience in Food Safety with a relevant degree OR 7-10 years of leadership/management experience without a degree; all experience must be in quality assurance within a food manufacturing facility
In-depth knowledge of FSMA, FDA CFR 21 Parts 110, 117, and 507, USDA regulations, and pet food industry standards
Experience with labeling claims verification and regulatory documentation
Strong understanding of HACCP, GMPs, and Preventive Controls for human and animal food
Ability to collaborate cross-functionally with production, R&D, supply chain, and regulatory teams
Compensation:
The pay range for this role considers a wide range of factors including but not limited to: skill sets, experience and training, licensure and certifications, geographical location, and other organizational needs.
The estimated pay range for this role is $106,913 Min to $160,369 Max per year.
Additionally, you will be eligible to participate in a bonus program associated with this specific role.
