The TOTAL REWARDS MANAGER is an integral role in the effective management of the company's benefit and compensation programs. This role is responsible for administering a company's employee benefit program including health, dental, vision and retirement plans as well as fixed and variable compensation plans. With a strong attention to detail and a commitment to customer service, this role services our employees at all levels, contributing to the overall success of the firm. Reporting to the Director, Total Rewards and HR Operations, this role requires creative and strategic thinking to enhance the company total rewards program ensuring retention of employees and market competitiveness in support of the firm's growth.

Responsibilities

  • Administers domestic employee benefits programs, including medical, dental, life, disability, vision, retirement plans, flexible spending accounts, health savings accounts, and COBRA.
  • Maintains and recommends improvements to processes, procedures, and documentation to ensure efficiency and effectiveness of benefits program administration.
  • Partnering with broker to coordinate and execute annual plan renewals and enrollments.
  • Review of plan documents and materials to ensure appropriate provisions and coverage.
  • Manage the Leaves of absence process and ensure coordination of short- and long-term disability claims or ADA claims.
  • Utilize HR System to validate and approve benefit elections (active employees and new hires) according to plan requirements to ensure a smooth and positive experience to employees. Monitor vendor interfaces for accuracy.
  • Ensure Benefit Invoices are paid timely and discrepancies resolved with vendors.
  • Prepare Benefits/Wellness communication to enhance the employee experience.
  • Maintains appropriate materials and timely updates on the People Operations website.
  • Maintains awareness of federal, state, and local benefit laws and regulations to ensure compliance, including, but not limited. to, HIPAA, COBRA, ADA, FMLA, ERISA, and Section 125 provisions.
  • Manage the compensation programs, including salary structures, incentive plans, and market benchmarking.
  • Support annual budgeting and forecasting processes for total rewards programs.
  • Consult and educate/train management on compensation practices, policies, and procedures to ensure understanding and compliance.
  • Conduct in-depth data analysis to identify trends, insights, and opportunities for improvement in total rewards and HR processes.
  • Ensure compensation practices comply with federal, state, and local laws and regulations.


Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in human resources or related field
  • 8+ years of experience in compensation, benefits, or related field is required
  • Benefits Administration system(s) experience preferred
  • Strong analytical skills, organizational and time management skills
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Knowledge of employee benefits and compensation laws
  • Computer proficiency in Microsoft Windows applications
