Job DescriptionAbout This RoleThe Sr Manager, R&D Learning will report to the Head of R&D Learning & Document Control Management, and will act as the Learning Partner for SPOQ (Strategy, Portfolio Operations, & Quality) within the R&D organization. This role will be an expert in instructional design, conduct learning needs analyses, and work closely with the business, engaging stakeholders to enhance employee performance with effective and innovative learning & development programs. The role will also be responsible for learning strategy and execution, as well as leading projects in support of business goals and objectives.This is a hybrid role with flexibility to work most of the week remotely. The preferred office location for the role is Cambridge, MA, but the Research Triangle Park, NC office location will also be considered.What You'll Do
- Conduct training needs analysis and other instructional design activities
- Coordinate and/or design and develop learning programs and content across the R&D organization
- Monitor R&D Training Process Key Quality Indicators to assess process health
- Define and execute learning assignment strategy
- Implementation of innovative learning
- Provide support for training request for R&D QA Audits and Inspections
- Bachelor's degree required. Advanced degree in Instructional Design or adult education preferred.
- Biotechnology/Pharmaceutical industry experience required.
- 5+ years of relevant work experience with Instructional Design/Training Programs required. Experience working with Quality Assurance teams within R&D preferred.
- Knowledge of Instructional Design methodology for adult learning, curriculum and course development required.
- Knowledge of Performance Consulting processes for training program analysis and design required.
- Knowledge of training program evaluation techniques for learning effectiveness required.
- Strong management skills, and ability to effectively lead and collaborate with various business functions required.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills required.
