This position is full-time, 40 hours per week, and will support UH St. John Medical Center.

What You Will Do
  • Manages Quality Center's departments and programs (Quality Improvement Department, Patient Safety Program, Risk Management Program)
  • Oversees the patient experience initiatives to enhance patient outcomes and best practice
  • Collaborates with legal and other system leadership to maintain regulatory standards and accreditation
  • Works with all clinical leadership to implement evidenced based practices in clinical care, national, home care and hospice goals in patient safety, core measures, and other quality initiatives
  • Leads the development of clinical reporting utilizing different data sources and methods.
  • Supports agency leadership in utilizing quality improvement methodology to achieve (or exceed) clinical outcomes.
  • Serves as the agency Patient Safety Officer.
  • Develops, analyzes and presents data and reports to medical staff, management staff, and other groups.
  • Works with all departments to assure timely and accurate delivery of data to respond to internal and external groups.

  • Must abide by all requirements to safely and securely maintain Protected Health Information (PHI) for our patients. Annual training, the UH Code of Conduct and UH policies and procedures are in place to address appropriate use of PHI in the workplace.


Qualifications:
Education
  • Bachelor's Degree in Nursing or Allied Health Care Field (Required) and
  • Master's Degree MHA, MBA, MSN (Preferred)
Work Experience
  • 5+ years health care experience, preferably in direct clinical care positions, (Required) and
  • 3+ years experience in the quality field (Required) and
  • 5+ years management experience (Preferred)
Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities
  • Knowledge of State and Federal regulations including OSHA, CMS, ODH, and the Joint Commission standards. (Required proficiency)
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills (Required proficiency)
  • Excellent organizational skills (Required proficiency)
  • Excellent Analytical/Assessment Skills (Required proficiency)
  • Demonstrated proficiency leading agency wide projects (Required proficiency)
  • Knowledge of Home Care regulations and Medicare/Commercial reimbursement (Required proficiency)
  • Demonstrated proficiency in education/staff development (Required proficiency)
  • A working knowledge of Windows and Microsoft Office Products including Word, Power Point, and Excel. Knowledge of Microsoft (Required proficiency)
  • Ability to design data collection tools, analyze and present information and interpret statistics (Required proficiency)
Licenses and Certifications
  • Certified Professional in Healthcare Quality (C.P.H.Q.) (Preferred) and
  • Certified Professional Healthcare Risk Management (C.P.H.R.M.) (Preferred) and
  • Lean Six Sigma Certification (Preferred)
