Position Summary:
The Director of Human Resources for our Support Center Office (headquarters) will be responsible for developing and executing human resource strategies in support of the overall business plan and strategic direction of the organization, specifically in the areas of talent management, organizational development and performance management, training and development. You will provide strategic leadership by articulating HR needs and plans to the executive management team, our leadership, and our Associates.

Pay Rate: $160,000 - $200,000/yr depending on background and experience. This position is eligible to participate in the Guitar Center Company bonus program based on Company performance.

You will provide strategic leadership by articulating HR needs and plans to the executive management team, our leadership, and our Associates.
Responsibilities will include, but will not be limited to the following:
Strategic HR Leadership:
- Develop and execute HR strategies aligned with the company's overall business objectives.
- Provide leadership and guidance to the HR team, ensuring effective delivery of HR services and support across the organization.
- Collaborate with senior leadership to drive organizational change and talent management initiatives.
Talent Management and Development:
- In partnership with Organizational Development, develop and manage performance management systems that align Associate goals with organizational objectives.
- In partnership with Organizational Development, implement leadership development programs to build a strong pipeline of future leaders.
- Develop a robust, engaging onboarding program for new hires.
- Provide coaching and support to managers and Associates on performance-related issues.
Employee Relations, Engagement, and Retention:
- Promote a positive and inclusive workplace culture that supports diversity, equity, and inclusion.
- Address employee relations issues and provide guidance on conflict resolution and disciplinary actions.
- Implement employee engagement initiatives to enhance morale and productivity.
- Develop and implement retention strategies to minimize turnover and maximize employee engagement and satisfaction.
- Foster a culture of continuous learning and development through effective training programs.
Compliance and Risk Management:
- Ensure HR policies and practices comply with all applicable laws and regulations.
- Mitigate organizational risk through proactive management of HR compliance and legal issues.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of HR trends, best practices, and regulatory changes.
To join our band, you'll need the following experience:
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field (Master's degree preferred).
- 10+ years of progressive HR leadership experience, ideally in a multi-unit retail or service-oriented environment.
- Proven success in partnering with senior leaders to deliver innovative HR strategies that drive business outcomes.
- Demonstrated expertise in employee relations, performance management, talent assessment, and organizational development.
- Strong leadership and coaching skills, with experience managing and developing high-performing teams.
- Exceptional communication, interpersonal, and influencing skills, with the ability to build relationships and trust across all levels of the organization.
- Proficiency in leveraging data and analytics to drive strategic decision-making.
