Construction Project Manager

As a Construction Project Manager, you will be integral to managing and executing complex projects from start to finish. You'll collaborate closely with the project team, design teams, contractors, and other stakeholders to ensure successful project delivery-on time, within budget, and to specification. Your responsibilities will include developing, implementing, and monitoring accelerated MEP construction schedules that align with factory program goals. Your technical expertise, organizational skills, and strong communication abilities will be essential in coordinating and facilitating all phases of the construction process. Additionally, you will play a key role in overseeing the transition from construction to quality inspections, commissioning, and final facility acceptance.

Responsibilities

• Manage project buy-out processes, including creating bid packages, issuing RFPs with procurement, drafting contracts and scopes of work, and generating work orders
• Oversee MEP mid-size construction projects, ensuring they meet specifications, stay on schedule, and remain within budget
• Coordinate with project superintendents to define objectives, deliverables, and timelines for projects
• Collaborate with design teams, architects, and engineers to review plans and resolve design clashes, ensuring the best solutions are implemented
• Prepare and maintain all project documentation, including contracts, permits, change orders, and progress reports
• Ensure installations and systems meet or exceed quality standards, safety regulations, and industry best practices, supervising inspections, testing, and commissioning processes
• Track site execution and inspections to verify compliance with safety guidelines and quality standards

Requirements

• Degree in Construction Management, or equivalent experience
• 3+ years of experience managing construction projects in large manufacturing or industrial environments specifically with electrical, mechanical and network systems
• Strong understanding of electrical systems design, installation, and commissioning for mission-critical environments, including power distribution, backup power systems, and lighting
• Proficiency in project management software (e.g., Asana, MS Project, P6) and other analytical/design tools such as Excel and AutoCAD
• OSHA 30 and NFPA70E certifications preferred
• In-depth knowledge of electrical codes (e.g. NEC, NFPA), and industry best practices for electrical systems
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a proven track record of overcoming challenges on complex projects
