Job Description

PURPOSE OF POSITION

Under supervision, with latitude for independent judgment and initiative, will serve and assist in the planning, organizing, facilitating and coordinating of assigned functional activities,including, administrative and office operations within an interdisciplinary environment as delegated by the Director of Performance Improvement and/or Quality Management Leadership.

AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITIES

Responsibilities include overall coordination and communication of department operations to leadership team, data review and analysis,and assist with supporting and implementing performance improvement processes throughout the hospital.

SUMMARY OF DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Support hospital leadership with system- wide, facility and departmental performance improvement project initiatives
Oversee and coordinate data analysis from various system-wide reports to communicate to hospital departments and leadership
Analyze and document requirements and processes to communicate through the construction of basic conceptual data, process models and flowcharts
Work collaboratively with interdisciplinary teams to improve project participation, guidance, support, workflows, scheduling and understanding of lean methodologies
Assist with tracking and monitoring of projects toward completion for distribution to PI Department, QM and Central Office leadership.
Monitor and prepare statistical data and narrative reports for The Joint Commission and other regulatory agencies for submission
Assist with hospital board reports and regulatory compliance preparation processes
Ability to create comprehensive monthly reports with visualization for PI Presentation to Hospital leadership and Central Office
Attends Departmental, Hospital, and Quality Meetings
Ensuring data quality by developing solutions of identified risks, concerns, and correcting inconsistencies and errors
Supports Department and hospital wide patient and staff engagement initiatives and projects as directed
Manage calendar and multilateral communications between the PI/ Patient Safety/ QM department, hospital administration, various facilities, and central office
Assists Patient Safety and QM department with operational and administrative support as directed
Performs other duties as assigned

Minimum Qualifications
1. A Masters Degree or advanced clinical degree from an accredited college or university and two years of experience serving as a lead in soliciting, defining, and managing requirements for internally and externally developed software in a clinical, allied health, non-allied health, behavioral health, information technology, information services, business, analytics or related area; or, one year of experience in a relevant clinical and/or healthcare administration role/function; or
2. A Baccalaureate Degree from an accredited college or university and five years of experience as described above; or
3. A satisfactory combination of education, training, and experience.
4. Specialty certification(s) issued by a national commercially available program, state, professional society, academic or technical institution in an area(s) listed above, may be credited on a month-to-month basis toward the required work experience for a total of one year.
