Job Specialty: Cytology Technician

Job Duration: 17-week assignment

Shift: 3:00 PM - 11:00 PM, Monday through Friday

Guaranteed Hours: 0

Experience: Previous lab experience (preferred)

License: NYS Clinical Laboratory Technician's License (required)

Certifications:
- NYS Ed Dept Clinical Laboratory Technologist License (preferred)
- Histotechnician or Histotechnologist License (preferred)
- NYS Ed Dept Pathologist's Assistant License (preferred)

Must-Have:
- Associate degree as defined by NYS Clinical Laboratory Licensing
- High School diploma or GED

Job Description:
- Perform cytological evaluations and analyses.
- Maintain and calibrate laboratory equipment.
- Prepare and process cytology specimens.
- Document and report findings accurately.
- Ensure compliance with lab safety regulations.
- Wear blue scrubs during shifts.
- Complete 64.75 hours of orientation.
