Job Duties

To establish and manage non-degree public health education and training programs, including community and professional education, pathways programs and community engagement; To provide support for academic initiatives; To contribute to similar programs in the Joint School of Public Health at ODU and NSU.

Core Responsibilities:
  • Development and management of education and training programs supporting public health initiatives
  • Management of multiple projects or programs
  • Staff hiring, development, leadership and supervision
  • Financial and budget management
  • Establishment of standards, policies and procedures
  • Development, execution and analysis of strategic plans
  • Management of stakeholders, including an Advisory Board
  • Development and implementation of communication strategies and plans
  • Network building and support

Minimum Qualifications
  • A doctoral degree in public health or a related degree
  • At leastfive (5)years of experience managing education and training programs
  • At least three (3) years of supervisory experience

  • Public health-related work experience
  • Experience in higher education
