About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Director of Asset Management to join our team in Buffalo Grove, IL. This position will be responsible for overseeing a diverse portfolio of power generation assets, including renewable, conventional, and a bio-fuel pellet facility.

This is an on-site role, Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM 5:00 PM.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage financial, contractual, and regulatory aspects of energy generation assets.
• Optimize asset performance across operational, commercial, and compliance areas.
• Lead communications with plant teams, internal stakeholders, customers, ISOs, and service providers.
• Oversee back-end settlement of energy, capacity, and environmental emissions transactions.
• Develop and manage annual budgets.
• Ensure compliance with NERC and other regulatory requirements.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of experience managing or operating energy generation assets in North American ISOs.
• 2+ years of NERC compliance experience in a leadership or SME role.
• Strong knowledge of North American energy markets, including electricity, capacity, emissions, and fuel.
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and data analysis.
• Bachelors degree in Engineering or a related quantitative field.
• Strong communication and project management skills.
