As a core member of our Real Estate team, you will be working with some of the industry's most accomplished professionals to deliver award-winning services for complex fund structures that our clients can depend upon.
Responsibilities
Your Role:
The Vice President is responsible for ensuring that real estate funds and real estate fund managers are provided with accurate and timely Asset Review Services. In addition, the Vice President shall manage client relationships in line with client Service Level Agreements, Citco procedures and applicable accounting standards, while also maintaining a focus on training and development of staff, workflow processes and improvements.
Cash reconciliation including capital draws Revenue and Expense accrual CAPEX accrual and amortization per jurisdiction AR and AP schedules Tenant schedules, charges and rent roll CAM/Service Charge recovery schedule Mortgage reconciliation including the interest accrual and escrow Property, CAPEX and Derivatives FMV calculation Trial Balances, Income Statement, Balance Sheet, and related working papers Property managers funding and distribution files Actual to Budget and Month over Month analysis and comments

Responsibilities
Your Role:
The Vice President is responsible for ensuring that real estate funds and real estate fund managers are provided with accurate and timely Asset Review Services. In addition, the Vice President shall manage client relationships in line with client Service Level Agreements, Citco procedures and applicable accounting standards, while also maintaining a focus on training and development of staff, workflow processes and improvements.
- General Accounting:
- Review Quarterly/Monthly reports and working papers, which include:Cash and Position Reconciliations
- Expense Accruals
- Agree Dividends and Interest Accruals if applicable
- Review all capital activity pertaining to the funds (Capital Call and Distribution processing)
- Trial balances and related working papers
- Financial statements, footnotes and Joint Venture Partner Capital Allocations
- Property and Construction Accounting:
- Manage property accounting, recovery models, lease review and interpretation, and monthly comments
- Manage construction accounting, including budget/PO/CO review and comments
- Acquisition and dispossession transaction support and integration
- Review external and internal property and construction accounting working papers, which include:
- Operations:
- Overall responsibility for client relationships, inquiries and meetings
- Interact with Senior Management and clients
- Review procedures and recommend solutions in order to improve efficiencies
- Ensure adherence to all internal and external audit standards
- Coordinate, manage and monitor external audit process
- Liaise with clients and assist them on accounting and administrative issues and relevant developments
- Provide technical accounting/industry knowledge to clients
- Review client operating agreements
- Implementation of property structures onto accounting system
- Liaising with property management companies
- Team Management:
- Review the work of team members and provide feedback for improvement in order to guarantee timely delivery and quality of work
- Monitor and track team performance and profitability in order to meet the client service level agreements and achieve financial targets

Qualifications
About You:
- Bachelor or Master level degree (in accounting, finance, economics)
- Professional accounting designation required
- 7+ years public/private accounting experience
- 5+ years property/construction accounting experience
- Knowledge and experience in GAAP and IFRS required
- Experience with fair value reporting for real estate investments and debt obligations
- Strong leadership skills and supervisory experience of other professionals
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Project management skills with attention to detail and proven ability to multi-task
- Knowledge and experience in real estate property and construction accounting systems (Yardi, MRI, etc.) is required
- Advanced computer skills (MicrosoftExcel)
