Summary:

Paragon Space Development Corp is seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Program Planner to join our dynamic team. As a Program Planner, you will play a critical role in developing and maintaining program schedules, tracking progress, and providing valuable insights to support the successful execution of space exploration projects. Your expertise in planning and coordination will be instrumental in contributing to our mission of advancing human space exploration.

Responsibilities:
  • Collaborate with program management, engineering, and cross-functional teams to develop comprehensive and realistic project schedules, including tasks, milestones, and dependencies.
  • Utilize project management software and tools to create, update, and maintain program schedules and resource allocation plans.
  • Analyze project data and metrics to identify potential schedule risks, bottlenecks, and areas for optimization.
  • Work closely with technical leads to understand project requirements and resource needs, ensuring alignment with schedule constraints.
  • Conduct regular schedule reviews with stakeholders and communicate progress, risks, and mitigation plans effectively.
  • Facilitate planning meetings and workshops to gather input and consensus from various teams and stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with the finance department to align project schedules with budgetary constraints and financial forecasts.
  • Monitor program performance against established timelines, identifying and addressing schedule deviations promptly.
  • Develop and maintain earned value management (EVM) processes and performance metrics to assess program progress.
  • Support proposal development efforts by providing input on program scheduling and resource estimation.

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field. Advanced degree preferred.
  • At least 5 years of proven experience as a Program Planner or Scheduler in the aerospace or space exploration industry.
  • Proficiency in project management tools such as Microsoft Project, Primavera, or similar software.
  • Solid understanding of project management principles, scheduling techniques, and earned value management.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to anticipate and mitigate potential scheduling risks.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams.
  • Detail-oriented and highly organized, capable of managing multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Familiarity with government contracts and procurement processes is desirable.
