Position Overview

We're a fire protection service contractor who's doing a lot of work in the multi-family & hotel inspections market. We've got a strong client base on West Coast and we're ready to open a branch in Los Angeles, CA or San Jose, CA. Our clients are primarily multi-family & hotel properties and we conduct inspections on all fire sprinkler, fire alarm and other fire protection systems.

This Operations Manager will create a new branch from the ground up. You'll identify the right office, attain company vehicles, establish business processes and logistics and spearhead our clients needs on the West Coast. You'll also be tasked with growing the branch and identifying and hiring service technicians to join the firm.

What You Will Be Doing
  • Create a new branch for the company from the ground up
  • Locate and establish a new company office
  • Acquire company vehicles as needed
  • Manage & grow client relationships
  • Travel throughout California and to other Western States, as needed - minimal travel in the long-term.
  • Assist and supervise the service of fire protection systems
  • Review and analyze financial P&L reports to find and implement new courses of action for improvement
  • Develop and oversee reports and proposals as required for that division office
  • Participate in local trade group/association functions
  • Consider long-range economic trends and industry prospects for future growth in overall sales, market share, acquisitions, and/or expansion into new market areas
  • Direct the hiring, promotions, transfers, discharges, and disciplinary measures of company members
  • Institute and monitor employee training and development programs
  • Implement and manage an employee annual review program
  • Work with company leadership to grow a successful division

What You Need for this Position
  • High school diploma or an equal amount of experience
  • Acitve C-10 Electrical Contractors License
  • 5+ years of succesful branch management experience in the fire protection industry
  • 10+ years of fire sprinkler or fire alarm industry experience
  • P&L management experience
  • Proven business operations and management background
  • Proven ability in growing sales revenue for a business division
  • Ability to review, analyze and discuss financial information with regard to division office operations
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks and complex situations
  • Proven network within the industry
  • Ability to travel 25-50% of the time for business - primarily on the West Coast
  • NICET Certifications are a PLUS
  • Strong experience with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook
