We're looking for a talented individual to provide support to Military Sealift Command (MSC) in the transition of T-AH Class Vessels' military department Medical Treatment Facility (MTF) transition into the Shipboard Automated Maintenance Management (SAMM) system. This position is located in our Chesapeake, VA office.

Responsibilities:
- Attend multiple meetings per week with MSC and military staff ashore and afloat to assist with separation of equipment and maintenance in SAMM based upon who is responsible for the maintenance (military or MSC)
- Coordinate training in usage of SAMM and reassignment of maintenance to the appropriate billets and shipboard work-centers in SAMM
- Coordinate adjustment of data visualizations to display military department related data separate from MSC related data
- Provide support to the MTF Port Engineer and MTF Program Management staff and support monthly engineering status meetings
- Take ownership of technical issues brought by our customer base, engaging other Emprise teams when needed to drive resolution
- Conduct onboard Maintenance Effectiveness Reviews (MER), document work performed, and prepare a debrief for the customer
- Serve as a consultant to the Shipboard Management Team, working closely with afloat and ashore team members in the life cycle management of the vessel
- Other related duties
Required Qualifications:
- 5 years of Port Engineer experience or
- 4 years of experience serving aboard commercial or public ocean-going ships of not less than 4,000 HP. Experience gained while serving in the military may be applicable towards meeting this requirement. This experience must demonstrate effective management of maintenance and repair of ocean-going ships
- Experience with a classification or flag state authority with direct exposure to vessel regulatory compliance
- U.S. citizen and must be able to obtain and maintain an active security clearance
- 25% travel both domestically and internationally
- Ability to perform work onboard ships while underway
- Ability to climb ladders
- Able to lift up to 50 lbs., sit and/or stand for long periods of time
Desired Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree in Marine Engineering, Naval Architecture, Electrical Engineering, or Mechanical Engineering
- U.S. Coast Guard license or equivalent international standard certification as an engineer
- Experience developing preventive maintenance schedules and plans
- Highly organized and Detail-oriented
- Strong research, problem solving and analytical skills
- Ability to learn and adapt to new technologies quickly
- Strong verbal, written, and communication skills
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office
