This job operates in a professional office environment in our Florence facility. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines which create low-moderate noise.

Expected Hours of Work
This is a salaried, exempt level, full-time position with standard working days/hours of Monday through Friday, 8am to 5pm with overtime as necessary to complete required tasks. Actual working hours may vary.
Travel
Travel is low, but some out-of-the-area and overnight travel may be expected at request of customer or as a technical aid to the DSS staff or sales force. Travel to Germany or other international locations possible for training/conferences. Anticipated travel is 20%

Summary:
Application Sales Engineer for large-format polymer additive manufacturing
Essential Functions:
- Drive sales and related activities for Large Scale Additive Manufacturing within the United States and Canada.
- Development of sales strategy for territory that is aligned with KMC-wide targets and global strategies.
- Oversees execution of strategy for territory and monitors success of each strategy.
- Collaborate in a cross-functional team to ensure highest customer satisfaction
- Assessment of the feasibility of 3D print demands & optimize design according to guidelines
- Performs role of technical support for Krauss Maffei Additive Manufacturing customers and prospects
- Submits sales planning calendar, call reports, monthly project activity reports and other information pertinent to short and long term planning
- Provide expert assistance on all AM systems - This includes promoting the technology, specifying systems, and performing specific project responsibilities (project engineering, supervising on-site installation and commissioning, providing start-up assistance, and providing after-sale technical support/field technical service to optimize and troubleshoot processes)
- Serve as a technical liaison between the customer and Krauss Maffei Germany on targeted projects
- Provide Large Scale Additive Manufacturing KPI data ss requested.
- Assist with the development and delivery of customer training programs
- Review customer applications to determine appropriate products and/or systems for recommendations
- Conducts sales calls as necessary, presentations and negotiations prior and after receipt of order utilizing divisional resources as necessary.
- Assist in account receivable collection.
- Interface with Parsdorf on new product developments and assist in deploying the technology to the NA Market, as applicable.
- Assisting in follow up with outstanding sales proposals in an effort to win purchase orders
- Coordinating all cross-functional quote and proposal activities, including the critical data review and approval process.

Qualifications
- Ideal candidate holds a technical degree in mechanical or plastic engineering, with additional qualifications in additive manufacturing.
- Extensive experience in various CAM software tools, including Siemens NX CAM, and slicers like Cura, Simplify3D, Magics, AI Build.
- Solid knowledge of plastic engineering, including thermoplastics and composite materials.
- Experience in working with CAD systems, particularly Creo.
- Desirable knowledge in milling.
- Experience in the field of additive manufacturing.
- Possesses an independent, analytical, and results-oriented approach, with flexibility.
