ABOUT THE ROLE:
The Retail Project Manager is responsible for leading the Operations project portfolio, managing every aspect of various project plans from inception to successful roll out and operational support. The role includes planning and managing projects involving departmental or cross-functional teams focused on the delivery of effective business solutions.

WHAT WILL YOU BE RESPONSIBLE FOR?
Business Results:
- Direct project teams to deliver effective and efficient business solutions in support of CI's changing business needs in the areas of SOP development and maintenance, new store openings, hospitality and product knowledge training, compliance, guest satisfaction, product, operations, local marketing, facilities and technology
- Manage all projects within designated time frames and budget
- Lead key retail operations initiatives and assemble inter-departmental or other teams as needed
- Manage project scope, time, cost, quality, people, risk, procurement, integration and communication
- Provide management reporting on all projects
Leadership & Teamwork:
- Develop and execute comprehensive project work plans, with designated persons responsible, time frames and measurable results in alignment with the over-arching product and service strategy
- Align accountability, authority, resources and control systems to produce the desired outcomes
- Identify potential project implementation risks, obstacles or delays and formulate recommended solutions
- Monitor and maintain projects after initial release; prioritize defects; measure and support guest/employee impact
Guest Engagement:
- Demonstrate unwavering external and internal guest focus in all actions.
- Use business analysis, competitor and consumer insights to provide understanding, direction and guidance around key initiatives
- Collaborate with internal and external business partners

- Manage multiple teams in the initiation, planning, execution and closing of multiple projects
- Develop and direct project team coaching, mentoring, instruction, strategies, materials and assignments
- Personally build productive relationships and foster a positive climate for teamwork

- Seek out and act on constructive input for professional developmental opportunities
SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
- Minimum 10 years' experience in the hospitality industry inclusive of restaurant front line operations
- Bachelors and Advanced Business Degree preferred
- Excellent project management skills and experience with proven success
- Strong leadership and interpersonal skills - able to sell an idea and influence change
- Consultative skills and ability to work cross-functionally
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Strong problem-solving skills - able to diagnose and develop recommended solutions
- Ability to challenge the obvious based on sound reasoning
- Lead virtual teams but also work as a team member
- Strong Microsoft Office, Wrike (GANT chart) and other project management skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
