Director, AI Companion Solution Services- PS Software, Technology and Innovation Organization
HP is embarking on an exciting journey of creating multiple AI solutions and services for both Enterprise and Consumer businesses to delight our customers.
To lead this effort, we are looking for a Director of AI Companion Solution Services. This person will be responsible for overseeing the strategic direction and implementation of HP's AI Companion Solution within PS Software in Technology and Innovation Organization. This role involves managing the engineering execution of AI related services (cloud and on-device), 3rd party integrations, hardware/chipset integrations, solution quality, and ensuring that results are aligned with business objectives and roadmaps. HPs Applications ship on millions of devices worldwide.
This is a cross functional role - where you will lead multiple teams. We have an exceptional team of incredibly talented SW professionals at HP and the AI related teams have grown substantially year on year. We are looking for a leader as well as a subject matter expert to coach and lead our growing teams and play an important role in HPs future and success in the AI domain.

Responsibilities
As a Director, AI Companion Solution Services you will be responsible for driving solution success:
Provide strategic direction for AI Companion together with partners in Business Units, ensuring they support business goals and roadmap
Guide AI and SW development teams in project planning, system architecture, execution, and delivery
Oversee the implementation and maintenance of the solution, including data communications and software services - staying on top of the day-to-day Solution needs
Collaborate with multiple stakeholders to align plans with enterprise best practices and ensure solution quality
Keep the AI Companion Solution competitive and relevant - so that it will serve the needs of the business also long-term
Drive technology innovations, upgrades, and improvements to architecture and prioritize these with the business requirements coming from BUs.
Understand and define new solution problems and requested features. Define and report on key feature metrics and validate the product with the businesses, and know when to pivot and align with different teams and drive forward
Identify and mitigate risks associated with delivered solutions
Drive initiatives in creating an ecosystem around AI applications and solutions
Manage the budget related to the project and create plans and estimates for any future investment needs
Coach team members to develop their careers, assigning them to tasks tailored to their skill levels, long-term skill development, personalities, and work styles
Manage dependencies with different stakeholders- Product Managers, SW Development Managers, Architects, security and privacy people, and different external partners
Skills:
Multiple of following
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, or a related field, from an accredited university
Experience in AI and ML models, data analysis is needed with a strong background in management
Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities
Ability to lead multidisciplinary teams and manage complex projects.
10+ Years of experience in software industry
5+ Years of Software Development Management experience
3+ Years of experience as a software architect, developer, tester or equivalent is a plus
Experience strategizing and developing successful Software products
Strong organizational as well as written and oral communication skills.
Experience in cloud and on-device technologies
Experience in HW/chip set is a plus
