Meteorcomm, a global telecommunications company that provides data communications solutions and services for the railroad industry is looking for Senior Hardware Engineer to support our growing team based out of the Renton area.

Summary:

Responsible for RF and analog product design, test, and documentation tasks associated with wireless transceiver products.

Major Duties:
Develop and/or analyze RF and analog baseband product architectures and specifications.
Work with baseband processing team to identify optimum RF architectures and baseband interfaces.
Select and develop analog-to-digital and digital-to-analog components and support circuitry, including low jitter clocks.
Select and evaluate suitable components for wireless product building block applications.
Effectively develop cost-effective assemblies for circuit test, system breadboard, and product implementation.
Test circuits and wireless systems against technical, environmental and regulatory requirements.
Troubleshoot circuits and modify for specified performance
Effectively document components and circuit board assemblies.
Work with firmware and hardware test teams to develop test plans and test reports in support of product validation.

Requirements for this Job Essential:
Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering or equivalent experience.
Ability to use spreadsheets and/or specialized CAE tools to calculate radio chain performance, including noise figure, gain, intermodulation intercept points, and phase noise
5-7 years of experience proven skills with specialized test equipment such as RF vector signal analyzers, vector signal generators, oscilloscopes
5-7 years of experience with hands-on PC board build, test, and modification skills
Ability to work independently within a team-oriented environment.
Time management and organizational skills with an ability to balance multiple priorities
Excellent English written and verbal communication skills
Ability to self-manage and exhibit grace under pressure

Desirable:
5-7 years of experience in hardware design experience in the 30MHz to 3GHz RF frequency range, high frequency IF range, and I Q baseband frequency range
5-7 years' experience in the development of wireless products for manufacture

Compensation:
The pay range for this position is $108,202 to $167,712. In addition, there is a potential yearly bonus at 10% of base salary.

This is a hybrid position based in Renton WA. Our current hybrid schedule requires working onsite Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday each week.
