Job Description:
The Behavioral Healthcare Provider develops, coordinates, implements, and provides interdisciplinary services related to health and illness, focusing on prevention, diagnosis, treatment, and rehabilitation. The role includes:
- Acting as a lead worker over lower-level behavioral healthcare providers or independently developing and implementing treatment plans for clients
- Coordinating the admission, assessment, evaluation, and treatment plans of a client's care cycle
- Providing interventions for clients with acute, complex needs and handling cases with multiple factors and problems
- Participating in crisis intervention and establishing, implementing, and directing behavioral healthcare programs and treatment system objectives
- Developing and designing treatment intervention techniques and procedures, evaluating and modifying treatment systems based on clients' progress
- Evaluating the performance of lower-level healthcare providers in administering prescribed treatment plans and maintaining necessary documentation for compliance with federal, state, and local agencies
- Serving as an active member of treatment teams, training sessions, department procedural meetings, and policy review meetings
- Establishing and maintaining working relationships with other facilities, agencies, and support services to coordinate referrals and conduct follow-up services

- Potential exposure to clients who may be violent, unusual noise, odors, or contagious diseases
- May require travel to community sites under contract with the Department of Mental Health
