Job Summary:
We are seeking a data-focused, detail-oriented actuarial student to join our Casualty Pricing team. In this role, you will gain experience in actuarial pricing for both admitted and non-admitted casualty products. You also will have the opportunity to collaborate with various insurance functions and contribute to the company's growth. This position is supported by the company's Actuarial Study Program.

Compensation
Actual base pay could vary and may be above or below the listed range based on factors including but not limited to experience, subject matter expertise, and skills. The base pay is just one component of Ascot's total compensation package for employees. Other rewards may include annual cash bonus, and other forms of discretionary compensation awarded by the Company.

Job Summary:
We are seeking a data-focused, detail-oriented actuarial student to join our Casualty Pricing team. Responsibilities:
- Assist in creating and running actuarial reports and supporting and/or driving multiple actuarial analyses. Specific activities include updating rate adequacy monitoring reports, conducting portfolio mix analyses, and supporting and/or driving line of business profitability studies
- Create and/or update analytical templates based on commonly accepted actuarial techniques
- Research insurance trends and rates for competitive analysis
- Assist in rate filings to support our admitted products
- Collaborate with other functional areas across Ascot US to improve data quality and consistency
- Build relationships with your underwriting business partners and develop analytical tools where needed to support underwriters in making better business decisions
Requirements:
- At least 4 actuarial exams and desire to pursue ACAS/FCAS designation
- Minimum of 4 years of actuarial experience, with at least 2 years of relevant actuarial pricing and casualty lines experience.
- Experience coding in SQL, VBA, or R/Python
