Job Description:

Summary

The Associate Director, Stakeholder Relations plays a key role in leading and developing strategies that support Key Opinion Leaders (KOLs) in the areas of Renal Cell Carcinoma, Neuroendocrine tumour groups, Endocrinologists who treat Acromegaly and those related to the assessment of new potential assets. He/she will gather insights through engagement with KOLs and internal cross-functional partners, as well as by understanding and leveraging political, economic and business factors, that inform strategic direction for brands, ultimately providing the best outcome for patients. The Associate Director, Stakeholder Relations will also develop the strategy for Ipsen's participation in key conferences and will provide strategic direction and oversight to Ipsen's oncology-related ad boards.

Main Responsibilities
  • Lead strategy and tactic development for the following Key Opinion Leader customer groups: Neuroendocrine, Renal Cell Carcinoma & Hepatocellular Carcinoma and Differentiated Thyroid Cancer tumor sites, Endocrinologists that treat Acromegaly and those affiliated with new potential assets
  • Develop and maintain strong KOL connections.
  • Through engagement and interaction with the KOLs, gather insights, identify and anticipate trends and act on unmet client needs.
  • Work with the Marketing and Medical teams to ensure key stakeholder strategies compliment the overall brand strategy and work in collaboration with brand team to develop and execute on key priorities.
  • Accountable for all oncology-related marketing Advisory Boards. Works closely with Marketing Medical & other key internal stakeholder teams to develop and implement the programs.
  • Responsible for developing and maintaining the conference management strategy at Ipsen for all relevant oncology medical conferences. Works closely with the brand team to implement plan and facilitate cross-functional attendance at conferences.
  • Identify market opportunities and customer priorities through competitive market analysis, positioning, and marketing strategy assessments.
  • Understand and leverage political, economic and business factors that may shape the future of industry. Also responsible for understanding what's happening in the oncology community, including at the provincial and national level.
  • Identify and develop breakthrough ideas or concepts that revolutionize the industry and can make a difference for patients.
  • View situations or systems from multiple perspectives to ensure all angles are thoroughly examined and pertinent information acquired.
  • Working with Medical Affairs to provide input to market needs for learning programs for HCPs.
  • Report any potential adverse events/safety information or products complaints for Ipsen products to the Medical Information and Pharmacovigilance department, per company requirements.


Knowledge and Experience
  • Minimum of eight (8) years of progressive experience in the pharmaceutical/biotech industry
  • Minimum of five (5) years progressive sales and marketing experience, with experience creating and implementing sales and marketing strategies.
  • Knowledge of pharmaceutical legal, regulatory, and medical processes required.
  • Strong written and oral communication, with the ability to adjust to meet the needs of customers.
  • Capable of holding challenging conversations with KOLs across all businesses, with the ability to shift thinking.
  • Strong presentation skills.
  • Ability to build strong relationships both internally and externally.
  • Demonstrated understanding of how customers use information across all channels and ideally experience in leveraging multiple channels to achieve business objectives.
  • Ability to develop consistent, well-supported, competitive strategies.
  • Proven leadership, strategic, and analytical abilities.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Product launch experience preferred.
  • B.A. or B.Sc. degree required. MBA would be an asset
  • Must be able to speak English. French would be an asset
