Overview
Savannah River Mission Completion (SRMC) is seeking a Manager, Facility Support - DWPF to be based in our Aiken, SC location on the Savannah River Site (SRS).
Responsible for managing a staff of operations personnel in the safe, efficient, and disciplined operation for core and ad-hoc Facility Support programs and functions in the Defense Waste Processing Facility (DWPF). Activities involve the integration of multi-disciplines for the successful accomplishment of work in the facility.

Savannah River Mission Completion (SRMC) is seeking a Manager, Facility Support - DWPF to be based in our Aiken, SC location on the Savannah River Site (SRS).
Responsible for managing a staff of operations personnel in the safe, efficient, and disciplined operation for core and ad-hoc Facility Support programs and functions in the Defense Waste Processing Facility (DWPF). Activities involve the integration of multi-disciplines for the successful accomplishment of work in the facility.
Responsibilities
- Integrates facility support work schedules into the overall facility schedule during non-outage and outage periods. Ensures the accomplishment of identified work scope. Generally, this includes responsibility for all major high radiological work activities within DWPF.
- Ensures support systems are maintained in accordance with the authorization basis.
- Manages task readiness for facility work and projects by ensuring appropriate documentation, approvals, and parts are in place.
- Manages a staff of employees with requisite process qualifications who can perform work assigned to facility support.
- Ensures the appropriate use of overtime and process is followed.
- Coordinates and manages the housekeeping program to include weekly walk downs and completing deficiency reports.
- Performs monthly management field observations (MFO) to ensure high standards are met in the conduct of operations arena.
- Performs routine assessments of team performance by fire protection coordinator, chemical coordinators, and Corrective Action Program (CAP) specialists/analysts.
- Annually reviews closed area safety protocols (defined for each situation), updates and submits with Safety Engineer.
- Leads and/or participates in various ad hoc projects/Activities.
- Other duties as assigned
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree with field nuclear experience in engineering, operations and/or maintenance; or
- Associates degree with field nuclear experience in engineering, operations and/or maintenance; or
- High School Diploma or GED with field nuclear experience in engineering, operations and/or maintenance
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Science
- Previous supervisory experience
