We are seeking a Director, CNS Discovery to drive innovation in blood-brain barrier (BBB) biology and develop novel therapies for CNS diseases. This individual will play a key leadership role in advancing cutting-edge neuroscience therapies that transform patients' lives.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the development of BBB-crossing treatments to align with Simcere's strategic portfolio.
- Drive preclinical and translational research to advance innovative CNS therapies.
- Shape the product strategy by defining critical milestones, outcome scenarios, and decision-making frameworks.
- Build, lead, and mentor a high-performing team, fostering a culture of innovation and collaboration.
- Guide cross-functional teams, ensuring seamless coordination with internal stakeholders.
- Oversee collaborative programs and cultivate strong relationships with investigators and key opinion leaders (KOLs) globally.
Requirements
- PhD, MD, or MD/PhD in neuroscience or a related field.
- 8+ years of experience in blood-brain barrier (BBB) biology in academia or industry.
- Proven track record in leading teams and developing large molecule delivery strategies across the BBB.
- Strong expertise in preclinical, translational research, and early clinical development.
- Exceptional leadership, communication, and strategic decision-making skills.
- Ability to think critically, solve problems creatively, and drive transformational change.
