The role involves strategic planning, project management, and technical oversight to meet the needs of various land development and civil engineering projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and lead the surveying department, ensuring efficient workflow and high-quality output.
- Develop and implement departmental policies and procedures to enhance operational efficiency.
- Oversee project planning, execution, and delivery in accordance with client specifications and industry standards.
- Collaborate with engineers, architects, and other professionals to provide comprehensive surveying solutions.
- Utilize software such as AutoCAD, Civil 3D, and AutoDesk to produce high-quality survey designs.
- Prepare and review proposals for surveying projects and manage client relationships.
- Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements and industry best practices in surveying.
- Conduct performance evaluations and provide training and mentorship to department staff.
Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience in land surveying (management experience strongly preferred).
- College degree in Civil Engineering, Surveying, or a related field is preferred.
- Land Surveyor In Training (LSIT) or Professional Land Surveyor (PLS) certification strongly preferred.
- Proficient in CAD software, including AutoCAD, Civil 3D, AutoDesk, etc.
- Experience with GIS applications such as ArcGIS and ArcMap is a plus.
- Strong knowledge of surveying principles, practices, and equipment.
- Excellent communication, leadership, and project management skills.
