General Overview:
The Plant Manager is responsible for directing and managing our organization's business activities and to develop and implement effective business strategies and programs necessary to drive overall P&L performance. Duties include overseeing business operations, allocating budget resources, formulating policies, developing and motivating staff, managing operational costs, working directly with customers and ensuring good customer service, improving administration processes, engaging with vendors, and leading initiatives/activities that optimize financial performance.

Basic Minimum Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, Finance, or a related field.
- Ten (10) years senior business and leadership experience, with profit and loss responsibility in a mid-to-large size business.
- Proven track-record for implementing strategies that drive productivity and profitability improvements.
- Manufacturing operational acumen.
- Experience in managing and developing direct reports.
- Experience in developing highly effective teams.
- Must possess strong leadership and ownership qualities (e.g. facilitation, change management, decision making, and delegation skills).
- Must be able to respond to urgent or emergency situations outside of normal working hours as needed.
- Must have business and administrative knowledge (e.g. budgets, P&L development and analysis, investment proposals, plant/corporate policies, collective bargaining agreement, etc.).
- Intermediate to advanced skills in Microsoft Office (e.g. Outlook, Word, Excel, Power Point, ERP platform).
- Must be able to work in a manufacturing plant environment.
- Ability and willingness to travel to other sites.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Master of Business Administration Degree, or a graduate degree in a related field.
- Experience in a union environment.
- Experience in an FDA regulated facility.
- Experience in a high-speed manufacturing setting.
Other Required Skills:
- Strong planning and organizing skills.
- Strong analytical and quantitative skills.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Prior experience in the consumer products industry.
Physical Requirements:
- Daily responsibilities may require walking on elevated surfaces, climbing stairs/ladders, kneeling, bending, squatting, stooping, wearing required PPE.
- Standing/walking for extended periods of time.
- Sitting for periods of time working in front of a computer screen.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plans, develops, and implements policies and practices that facilitate execution including customer focus, teamwork within and among business units and continuous improvement of all operations.
- Oversee cost reduction, business process improvement and productivity improvement initiatives.
- Manages the facility to achieve the targeted level and quality of earnings necessary to support the financial and growth objectives of the organization. This includes assuming primary responsibility for the development and execution of the yearly operating budget as well as a longer-term strategic plan.
- Provides the necessary coaching and development of others that fosters a more capable and effective plant management team.
- Collaborates with direct reports, other departments, and members of the Board to support business goals.
- Promotes the interests of the company via encouraging teamwork among other business units within the company.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with customers.
