Position Summary

The Sales Director will oversee the sales and strategic development of Home Access products across Canada. Reporting to the General Manager, this role is critical for achieving sales targets and driving the overall success of the company's sales initiatives.

Responsibilities
  • Lead and manage the sales team to ensure achievement of sales targets.
  • Develop and implement measurement criteria for sales programs in the Home Access market.
  • Prepare and deliver monthly sales forecasts.
  • Oversee daily sales performance of District Sales Managers (DSMs) and report on their performance metrics.
  • Design strategic sales programs and commission structures.
  • Mentor and coach DSMs, ensuring goals are achievable.
  • Communicate values, strategies, and objectives effectively.
  • Manage staffing needs, including recruitment, training, and performance appraisals.
  • Handle sensitive situations with poise, tact, and diplomacy.
  • Maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Skilled in analysing and interpreting business materials, writing reports, and effectively presenting information to diverse audiences.
  • Some travel required, mostly within Ontario

  • Bachelor's degree in business administration, Marketing, or related discipline; 10 years of sales experience preferred.
  • Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills (written and oral), strong interpersonal skills, self-starter, client-service oriented, ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment, knowledge of market and competition.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and decision-making skills, with a focus on client service and profitability.
  • Capable of setting expectations, monitoring performance, and demonstrating knowledge of market dynamics while adhering to policies and procedures.
  • Excellent written and oral communication abilities, adept at presentations and negotiations while maintaining professionalism in sensitive situations.
