Position Overview
As a DevSecOps and Network Security Engineer at IOB, you will be pivotal in designing, implementing, and maintaining secure and scalable network infrastructures. You will integrate security practices into the DevOps process, ensuring the secure development and deployment of our innovative solutions. Your expertise will be crucial in protecting our systems and data while enabling the seamless operation of our retail technology.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and manage secure network architectures and infrastructures.
- Integrate security practices into the DevOps lifecycle, ensuring secure software development and deployment.
- Monitor and analyze network traffic to proactively identify and mitigate security threats.
- Collaborate with S/W development and product teams to ensure security controls are built in rather than bolt on.
- Automate security processes and workflows using scripting and configuration management tools.
- Conduct regular security assessments and vulnerability scans to identify and address potential risks.
- Develop and maintain comprehensive documentation for network and security configurations, processes, and procedures.
- Stay current with the latest security trends, technologies, and best practices.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- 5+ years of hands-on experience in DevSecOps, networking, and security.
- Strong knowledge of network protocols, firewalls, VPNs, and intrusion detection/prevention systems.
- Proficiency in scripting languages such as Python, Bash, or PowerShell.
- Proven ability to troubleshoot complex system and security issues under time constraints.
- Conduct application security onboarding and penetration testing to identify potential vulnerabilities and recommend improvement
- Experience with configuration management tools like Ansible, Puppet, or Chef.
- Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes).
- Excellent problem-solving skills and meticulous attention to detail.
- A collaborative mindset with excellent communication skills to work across teams.
- Flexibility to work hours in support of our Enterprise customers' needs, to include evening and night shifts.
- Flexibility to travel as needed, less than 5% expected.
- Relevant certifications such as CISSP, CISM, CCNA, or CCNP.
- Experience with security information and event management (SIEM) tools.
- Knowledge of compliance frameworks such as ISO 27001, NIST, PII or GDPR.
