JOB OVERVIEW: As the Marketing Manager for Craft Sportswear in the US, you will serve as the key conduit between Craft Global Marketing and the local market. Your primary responsibility is to develop and execute a localized marketing strategy that aligns with consumer insights, regional commercial plans, and Craft's global strategy. This includes planning, managing, and coordinating marketing initiatives to drive brand awareness, customer engagement, and sales across Retail (Run Specialty & Outdoor Specialty) and Teamwear segments.
You will work closely with retail partners to ensure the successful implementation of integrated marketing plans across Brand, Trade, Retail, and Social Media, optimizing the allocated marketing budget for maximum impact. Additionally, you will serve as the direct manager of our Community Managers, who facilitate promotions in the field, ensuring seamless execution of grassroots and retail activations.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Localized Marketing Strategy & Execution
- Develop and implement a localized marketing strategy for Craft in the US, ensuring alignment with global brand objectives.
- Identify regional marketing needs and communicate them to the Global Marketing Team to develop relevant local tools and campaigns.
- Plan and execute integrated marketing initiatives, including digital, social, retail, and trade marketing.
- Oversee marketing budget allocations and provide regular performance reports.
- Drive seasonal campaigns, ensuring creative alignment with brand identity and messaging.
- Manage and provide direction to Community Managers, ensuring effective execution of in-field promotions, activations, and engagement initiatives.
Retail & Trade Marketing (Run Specialty, Outdoor Specialty & Teamwear)
- Develop and execute marketing strategies for Run Specialty, Outdoor Specialty, and Teamwear businesses.
- Create go-to-market strategies for retail partners, including visual merchandising, point-of-sale materials, and in-store activations.
- Work closely with retail partners to ensure effective campaign execution and performance tracking.
- Develop co-branding and collaboration opportunities to increase brand exposure within retail environments.
- Ensure alignment between retail trade marketing activities and overall brand strategy.
- Partner with Community Managers to activate retail and grassroots marketing efforts in key markets.
Social Media & Digital Marketing
- Manage social media strategy and content creation for the US across key Meta platforms.
- In alignment with Global Consumer Calendar, develop and maintain a localized content calendar, ensuring consistent brand storytelling and engagement.
- Oversee influencer marketing programs, including ambassador recruitment, engagement, and performance tracking.
- Monitor social media trends and competitor activity to identify new opportunities.
Sports Marketing & Events
- Plan and execute event activations, including marathons, trail running events, tournaments, and pop-up experiences.
- In partnership with PR agency, manage relationships with athletes, influencers, and brand ambassadors.
- Lead community-building initiatives, including local run clubs and training programs.
- Collaborate with Sales teams to integrate sports marketing efforts with broader brand campaigns.
- Work with Community Managers to ensure local event execution and promotional activities align with overall marketing objectives.
Performance Analysis & Reporting
- Track and measure the effectiveness of marketing campaigns, providing insights and recommendations for optimization.
- Utilize social media analytics, Google Analytics, and other tracking tools to assess performance.
- Prepare monthly and quarterly marketing reports for internal stakeholders.
- Establish KPIs and benchmarks for brand engagement and growth.
- Champion Craft's brand philosophy of "One Step Further," encouraging consumers to challenge their limits through innovative, high-performance footwear.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor's degree in business, marketing, or a related field.
- Proven experience (5 years+) in marketing management experience in sporting goods, with a strong emphasis on retail marketing (Run Specialty and Outdoor Specialty) and Teamwear.
- Expertise in digital marketing, social media, and content creation.
- Strong analytical skills with experience in campaign performance measurement (Google Analytics, social media insights, etc.).
- Passion for running, endurance sports, and team sports.
- Ability to manage agency relationships and marketing budgets.
- Knowledge of US market trends, consumer behavior, and competitive landscape.
- Experience working with retailers, and sales teams.
- Willingness to travel for client engagement and trade shows.
