Description:
The Ministry of Highways, dedicated to ensuring safe and efficient transportation across the province, is seeking a motivated and strategic Regional Executive Director for Southern Operations within the Operation and Maintenance Division.
In this position, you will be responsible for providing strong leadership for the planning, scheduling, delivery, and monitoring of regional transportation systems to ensure traffic safety and mobility on the provincial transportation network. You will oversee regional maintenance, traffic engineering and development, and the operation of the Regina Bypass.
Reporting to the Assistant Deputy Minister, Operation and Maintenance Division, you will have solid strategic, analytical, problem-solving, and public consultation skills to develop short and long-term plans for the region. You will ensure that regional activities align with ministry priorities, program goals, and objectives to enable the safe, reliable, and sustainable mobility of people and goods to support Saskatchewan's growth and quality of life.
As the successful candidate, you will possess a degree in engineering from a recognized university and hold a membership in the Association of Professional Engineers and Geoscientists of Saskatchewan (APEGS). You will have a proven track record as a creative, innovative, and results-oriented manager, a demonstrated ability to build and maintain collaborative relationships, and extensive knowledge of highway engineering principles and methodologies. You will also have the ability to operate independently and make decisions regionally that are consistent with overall organizational goals and corporate policy.
