Keystone Engineering is currently seeking an experienced Design Checker for E&I to join our Houston, TX Office.

Essential Functions:

• Review E&I design drawings, schematics, and documentation for accuracy, completeness, and adherence to project standards.
• Ensure all drawings comply with client drafting standards, specifications, and industry regulations (NEC, IEC, ISA, API, etc.).
• Verify constructability, operability, and maintainability of designs within assigned projects.
• Identify errors, inconsistencies, and omissions in design deliverables.
• Maintain a copy of check drawling's.
• Work closely with Lead Designers, Drafters, and Engineers.
• Oversee the back check process to confirm that all corrections are properly implemented.
• Ensure final drawing plots and transmittals are accurate and complete before project delivery.
• Support project audits and maintain awareness of project schedules and budgets.

Requirements:

• High school diploma or GED required
• 15+ years of experience in E&I design checking with a strong background in AutoCAD.
• Proficiency in reviewing facilities drawings, cable routing, cable tray layouts, cable schedules, motor starter schematics, I/O lists, panel designs, wiring diagrams, and schematics.
• Strong attention to detail with the ability to spot errors and inconsistencies.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills to provide clear feedback.
• Highly organized, self-motivated, and solution-driven.
